Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 29, 2026

Poptastic Parties ("Poptastic," "we," "us," or "our") is a custom balloon decor business serving the San Francisco Bay Area, with a studio in Pleasanton, California. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit https://www.poptasticparties.com (the "Site"), fill out our inquiry form, email or text us, message us on social media, or otherwise work with us.

This policy is written for a small U.S. service business. It is informed by the structure and topics covered in Termly's free Privacy Policy template, California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) requirements, California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) consumer-rights disclosures (provided as a matter of transparency and good practice), and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance on clear privacy notices. It is not legal advice. If you need a lawyer-reviewed policy, please consult counsel.

If you have questions, contact us using the details in Contact us.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics / advertising tools may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and language settings
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring URL, and timestamps
  • Cookie and similar identifiers used for site function, analytics, and advertising measurement

Information from advertising and social platforms

If you interact with our ads or social profiles (for example on Meta / Facebook / Instagram), those platforms may share limited insights with us about ad performance (such as that someone viewed or clicked an ad and later visited our Site or completed an inquiry). We do not receive your private social login password.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide quotes
  • Plan, design, install, and take down balloon decor for your event
  • Communicate about scheduling, logistics, invoices, and payments
  • Keep business records (jobs, designs, invoices, and related communications)
  • Improve our website, services, and customer experience
  • Measure advertising and website performance (including whether an inquiry form was completed)
  • Show relevant ads about our services on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, and measure whether those ads work
  • Send marketing emails or messages only if you have opted in or otherwise given us permission under applicable law; you can unsubscribe at any time
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect our rights, customers, and studio
  • Post photos of our balloon setups on our website and social media (see Photos of your event)

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies. Some are needed for the Site to work. Others help us understand traffic and measure ads.

Tools we currently use on the Site (verified)

  • Webflow - hosts and serves the website
  • Google Tag Manager (container GTM-TQ63L9CP) - loads and manages other tags on the Site
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel (ID 1426049649657678) - measures visits and conversions (including a Lead signal when someone reaches our inquiry thank-you page) and helps us run and measure Meta ads
  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9C4F6Z2X01) - site analytics
  • Google Ads (tag AW-11059193567) - advertising measurement and related Google Ads features
  • Microsoft Clarity (project nv3hwatpon) - session analytics / heatmaps
  • OpenAI advertising / measurement pixel (pixel ID 2beemKDNaDtEt7LY4Tb6qV) - advertising measurement (including a lead-created signal on the inquiry thank-you page)
  • Google Fonts / Webfont loader - loads fonts used on the Site
  • Poptastic Parties CRM hosted at poptastic-hq.up.railway.app - powers the embedded inquiry / job request form on our Contact page

We did not find a cookie-consent banner, MailerLite signup form, HoneyBook embed, or embedded Instagram feed on the pages we reviewed for this policy. If we add those tools later, we will update this policy.

How to opt out of Meta ad tracking and interest-based ads

  • Meta: Use Meta's ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences and related Instagram privacy controls, plus Meta's cookie help pages.
  • Industry opt-outs: optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org
  • Google: adssettings.google.com
  • Browser controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect Site features.
  • Email us: For a California "Do Not Sell or Share" style request related to our advertising pixels, email info@poptasticparties.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to DNT. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. We do honor applicable opt-out requests you send us directly, and the ad-platform controls linked above.

5. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business (website hosting, form/CRM tools, email and messaging tools, analytics providers, payment processors we use for invoices, and similar vendors), only as needed for their work for us
  • Advertising and measurement partners, including Meta and Google, when our pixels and tags run on the Site or when we run ads. Under California law, sending identifiers and browsing activity to advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising can count as "sharing," even when we are not paid for that data. You can opt out as described above
  • Professional advisors (accountant, attorney, insurance) when needed
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety
  • A buyer or successor if we ever sell or transfer the business (they would need to honor this policy or provide equivalent notice)

We may post photos of completed setups publicly; see the next section.

6. Photos of your event

We often photograph our balloon installs for our portfolio, website, and social media (Instagram, Facebook, and similar). Setups are typically of the decor itself. If people appear in a photo, we try to be thoughtful about what we post.

If you do not want photos of your event posted, tell us before or after the install by emailing info@poptasticparties.com or messaging us on Instagram. We will not post (or we will remove) photos of your event if you ask us not to, except where we are legally required to keep a business record copy for our files.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or allowed by law (for example tax and bookkeeping rules).

  • Inquiry and job records: kept for as long as useful to serve you and for our business records (often several years after an event)
  • Invoices and payment records: kept for the period required by tax and accounting rules
  • Website analytics and ad logs: kept according to each provider's settings and our business needs; aggregate reports may be retained longer
  • Marketing contacts: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them

When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or de-identify it when practical.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for a small business (access limited to people who need it, reputable hosted tools with account security, and careful handling of client files). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password on any account that relates to working with us, and contact us right away if you suspect unauthorized use of your information.

9. Children

Our Site and services are directed to adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us, contact info@poptasticparties.com and we will delete it.

10. Your privacy choices

You can:

  • Ask us what personal information we have about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask us to delete information (subject to legal exceptions, such as records we must keep for taxes or completed contracts)
  • Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link or email us)
  • Opt out of sale/sharing for targeted advertising as described above
  • Ask us not to post photos of your event

To make a request, email info@poptasticparties.com. We may need to verify it is you before we respond.

11. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA and CalOPPA)

California residents have rights under CalOPPA and, if our business meets CCPA/CPRA thresholds in a given year, under those laws as well. Even if a threshold does not apply, we honor the following requests in good faith for California residents:

  • Right to know / access
  • Right to delete
  • Right to correct
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing - we do not sell personal information for money; advertising pixels may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. Opt out by emailing info@poptasticparties.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," or by using platform opt-outs
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information - we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you for advertising
  • Right to non-discrimination
  • Shine the Light annual request for certain direct-marketing disclosures

Categories commonly collected include identifiers (name, email, phone, IP, cookies), customer records information, commercial information (inquiry/job history), internet activity, approximate geolocation, visual information (setup and inspiration photos), and limited service-related inferences. Sources include you, your device, and advertising platforms. Disclosure/sharing in the past 12 months may include analytics and advertising partners (Meta, Google, Microsoft Clarity, OpenAI measurement tag, Webflow hosting) and service providers who help run jobs and communications.

How to submit a California request: email info@poptasticparties.com, call (925) 337-5864, or write to the studio address below. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of authorization and still verify your identity.

CalOPPA notice: This policy identifies the categories of personally identifiable information we collect and the categories of third parties with whom it may be shared; explains how to review or request changes (email us); describes how we notify you of material changes; states the effective date; and discloses that we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, while other parties (advertising partners) may collect information about your online activities over time and across websites when you use our Site.

12. Other websites and apps

Our Site links to third-party sites (Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others). Their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies before sharing information with them.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective date at the top will change when we do. For material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice (for example a note on the Site homepage or an email if we have your address for that purpose). Please review this page periodically.
